Watch: Netflix's The Crown series 4 is out!
For amateurs of British contemporary history, Netflix has just released a new season of its blockbuster series The Crown, covering the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and the political, social and personal issues of her times.
This season looks the most promising so far, with a five-star cast including Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher, young debuting Emma Corrin as Lady Diana and the return of acclaimed stars Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Coleman, Tobias Menzies etc.
The season will cover the time period between 1977 and 1990: a great opportunity to acquire some knowledge of historical events AND practice your listening/comprehension skills on a particularly refined British accent (you can practice your "Queen's English" by repeating sentences with intonation at home!)
